Stephen A. Day provides management advisory and capitalization support for small-cap firms, mostly in the Defense, Homeland Security, Information Technology, and Alternative Energy markets. Mr. Day was the Managing Partner in FundWorks, a fund with interests in biotech firms. He was also Chairman of the Board of Corporate Fission, LLC, a BPO that provides accounting and taxation expertise and software development for major corporations. Stephen was Chairman of Secure Waters Security Group, Inc., a maritime security firm, and sits on the board of four other energy, healthcare and IT firms. He was also president (mentor) to an 8a IT firm, Secured Sciences Group, providing SETA and IT services to the Marine Corps, NSA and National Geographic Digital Media. His firm, Day Technology Group, provided training for the US Army’s Combat Medic School at Ft. Sam Houston, San Antonio, Texas and provided emergency response planning for public buildings, including schools. He is a mentor for the National Science Foundation for life sciences.
He is Executive Director of the Healthcare Policy Institute and the chairman of Hawkeye Med Tech, Inc, a telehealth company.
Stephen was Chairman of the Board and interim CFO of Docpoint Global, Inc., a physician/patient management SAAS company. He has also served on the Board of the National Graphene Association and serves as an advisor to several university research centers on commercialization of cutting-edge technologies. He is an advisor to Parallel 18, an accelerator in San Juan, Puerto Rico and several Economically Disadvantaged Women Owned Small Businesses and 8As. He served as Chairman of the Board at Secured Waters Security Group, Inc, a maritime security firm based in Miami. He was Board Director and audit committee chair at TVI Corporation, a bio-chem defense contractor in Maryland. He is Executive Director of the 11,000-member Board of Directors Society. The Society trains Board Directors on financial literacy, governance, compliance, defensible compensation, and other relevant issues.
